FAQ

Log in to your library account to check your loans, renew books, place a hold on a book, request an article and to update your details.

Your login is your email address (the one you use for the DML library account).
You must set up your own password from the Forgot your password? link.

Books can be renewed 2 days before the due date. You will receive a reminder before the books are due.
Log into your library account. Select 'renew all'; or select each book you wish to renew and click 'renew selected'.

Library staff will scan a chapter or an article for you on request. Select the 'Request Article' button from the catalogue record for the book or journal.
IMPORTANT! Add the page numbers and other information in the notes area. If there are no notes, we don't know what to send you. Pasting the citation works for us!
You will receive a library email when the copy has been processed and the pdf will be sent soon after.

Yes! Getting a book set aside or sent to you is easy! When you have found the book on the catalogue, use the 'Place hold' button and add a note 'please send by post'.
A library email will be sent when the book ready to post.
We can post to any Australian address but we prefer to avoid using AusPost postal services due to substantial losses in the past 2 years. The cost of postage (for sending and returns) is at the expense of patrons. Contact library staff for more information.
This service is available to clergy, current students and MemberPlus.

If you need an article or book for your research or study, you can ask library staff to locate it for you. Send the full reference by email to library@dml.vic.edu.au. The cost is $18.50. We will be in touch if it is over $18.50.
The service is available to clergy and private members as well as the staff and students of the Pilgrim, JCS and Trinity Colleges.

Yes! The DML library purchases all required and recommended unit readings for Pilgrim Theological College, the Trinity College Theological School and the Jesuit College of Spirituality.
Readings for the current semester are available from the Course Reserves link.
NB Some ebooks may available from the Library Hub. Ebooks with a link on the list are accessed via the DML catalogue. They are not linked from the University of Divinity Library Hub, but may be in that catalogue.

Problems like typos, incorrect or missing information, broken links, etc. are hard to find. If you see one, please report it. Use the link on the bottom left of each page to send a note about the page you are on. Thank you! We appreciate your help.

The membership table shows the number of books assigned for each category.
Academic staff, research students and Member+ may have up to 50 books on loan at a time.

The DML is a private library, funded by the Uniting Church in Australia (VicTas) and the Jesuit Society (ANZ). You must be a member to enter and use the library space and collections.
